The “Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation” and “Empowering Women to Lead Cyber Security” programmes were established at the start of 2021 with the aim of supporting the creation of a community of empowered and empowering female leaders in technology roles across Scotland. Less than a year on and with the support of ScotlandIS, the Scottish Digital Academy and The Scottish Government, alongside our industry partners, we are now able to celebrate the graduation of our second cohort of leaders in “Digital Transformation” and our very first “Cyber Security” cohort.
On the 2nd of December, the latest participants of both programmes will gather together to present the outputs from their last three months of “Challenge” work, in front of an audience of their peers and the broader tech community in Scotland. These “Challenges” represent some of the key societal issues that digital transformation and cyber security can help to address and have been an invaluable opportunity for the participants to collaborate and grow as a group.
We are delighted to welcome all of the “Empowering…” graduates, their organisational sponsors who have supported them on their journey, our previous “Empowering…” alumni and all of the sponsors and partners from across government and industry who have helped this initiative to support so many emerging and potential future digital leaders.
